Tour Tortuguero – 7 Days 6 Nights

Day 1: Departure

Arrive to San Jose and pick up to hotel, depending on time of arrival dinner.

Day 2

7:00am breakfast at hotel, 8:00am departure to Tortuguero National Park. Once you arrive to the fresh water canals you will board a boat that will take you on an exciting safari through jungles and Rainforests where you are sure to see many wild animals along the way in the trees and riverbanks. Upon arrival you will check into your hotel and enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch.

After lunch you will take a short boat ride to one of Tortugueros gorgeous beaches. Spend time at the beach or simply taking in the tropical scenery as you relax on Tortugueros enchanting coastline. After Dinner at 8:00pm you may join a turtle watching adventure and learn all about the various species of turtles that give Tortugueros its worldwide reputation for conserving, caring and protecting migrating turtles that come and go yearlong to lay eggs on these unique Costa Rican beaches.

Day 3

Breakfast at hotel 8:00am, Kayak adventure departure 8:00am. Take an unforgettable Kayak ride along the Tortuguero channels and inlets, here you will experience a one on one ride alongside Macaws, parrots, turtles, monkeys, butterflies and many more wildlife animals that you are sure to see along your ride. Taking advantage of the silent and peaceful Kayak experience will bring you closer to all the natural wonders you will encounter along your ride. Back to your hotel for lunch and afternoon hike along one of Tortugueros many trails through the rainforest. As you head deeper into the Rinforest you may see different species of mammals, birds, reptiles and exotic Flora. Returning to your hotel for sunset you will have a delicious seafood dinner or traditional Caribbean cuisine.

Day 4

7:00am Breakfast and 8:00am departure to Puerto Viejo. You will take a boat ride to one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful Caribbean beach towns. Puerto Viejo is known for its laid back life style and friendly people. Home to some of the best cuisine in the country, Puerto Viejo will surely captivate you and enchant your soul.

Enjoy Costa Rica’s Atlantic coast, stroll through Puerto Viejo’s peaceful streets and visit local craft shops or entertain yourself will our local artisans. Take a Bike ride through Puerto Viejos outskirts and see some of the magical settings this area has to offer. Back to Hotel for 8:00pm dinner.

Day 5

Checkout and 7:00am breakfast. Departure to Aerial Tram where you will experience a ride through the Rainforest canopy. Lunch in the Jungle and departure to San Jose after a 1 hour drive you will arrive at your hotel in San Jose. 8:00pm dinner.

Day 6

7:00 am breakfast and 8:00am pick up and visit to Costa Rica Animal Rescue Center in Turrucares Alajuela. www.costaricaanimalrescuecenter.org here you will observe and interact with animals that have been rescued or donated to this organization. These animals are cared for and nurtured back to health and form part of this loving family. Animals you will see are two and three fingered sloth, cappuccin monkeys, spider monkeys an aviary with a variety of parrots and birds and many more.
